Yesterday I posted 5 riddles and most of you that tried to answer them got some or all of them right. I must have been having a blond moment when she sent me the original e-mail because I didn't figure any of them out!
Here are the answers:
1 The third room. Lions that haven't eaten in three years are dead. That one was easy, right?
2. The woman was a photographer. She shot a pIcture of her husband, developed it, and hung it up to dry (shot; held under water; and hung).
3. Charcoal, as it is used in barbecuing.
4. Sure you can name three consecutive days, yesterday, today, and tomorrow!
5. The letter "e", which is the most common letter used in the English language, does not appear even once in the paragraph.
So congratulations if you got all of them right and YAY if you got some:))
Here are some things that I've seen over the last couple of days and wanted to post.
First of all Cathy of Noble Pig is the new food writer for Davis Life Magazine. Check out her post announcing that HERE. Way to go Cathy!! She always has wonderful recipes on her blog , and wonderful looking fruity little drinks and she takes you thru the making of them step by step.
Second, I picked up a copy of Redbook Magazine this past Saturday and there is a wonderful article in there about blogging, and why its good for alot of women! (ppssttt, we already knew that!) so check it out if you want to.
Also in that Redbook Magazine I saw the review for a book that I want to get. It looks HILARIOUS! Its called HUMP - There IS Sex after Kids! HAHAHA! Of course there is, why would you think otherwise? If there wasn't there would never be a second, third, or fourth kid!
It just sounds really funny. If you've read it let me know!
I"m still working on my crocheted purse. I just have so NOT been in the mood to work with yarn. While its laying on your lap its hot, and when its 105+ degrees outside ( as its been the last 11 days in a row) I'm trying to stay cool anyway I can.
And last, I won my BFF Nikki's movie music contest. That means I get some cool bath stuff and all that. She didn't have alot of people enter, so shes hoping the next contest she holds will go better. We are going to work on that one together. Should be interesting for sure.
Here at the Able household we are gearing up for school, as I'm sure alot of you are. We have 4th grade orientation next Monday on the 11th. She starts on the 18th. We already have all her school supplies ans stuff, but have to still get her a new skirt for school, since she is going up a grade she can no longer wear a blue skirt - now she gets a blue and green plaid. Shes not happy.
So thats where I'm at today. Are ya'll getting ready for school too? Read any good books lately? If you have let me know!
Ya'll come back now ya hear???

Oh thank gawd you posted the answers to those...I thought about them all night. Of course they all make complete SENSE now!
And thank you for saying what you did, that's so nice! I'm humbled and grateful for blog friends like you.
We're gearing up for school here too. We got a big box of supplies and the kids enjoyed going through it like it was Christmas. I just finished a book called The Poisonwood Bible. It's really intriguing and thought provoking.
