Fred and Mary get married but couldn't afford a honeymoon, so they go back to Fred's Mom and Dad's house for their first night together.

In the morning, Johnny, Fred's little brother, gets up and has his breakfast.As he is going out of the door to go to school, he asks his mom if Fred and Mary are up yet.

She replies, 'No'.Johnny asks, 'Do you know what I think?'His mom replies, 'I don't want to hear what you think! Just go to school.'

Johnny comes home for lunch and asks his mom, 'Are Fred and Mary up yet?'She replies, 'No.'Johnny says, 'Do you know what I think?'His mom replies, 'Never mind what you think!Eat your lunch and go back to school ...

'After school, Johnny comes home and asks again,'Are Fred and Mary up yet?'His mom says, 'No.'He asks, 'Do you know what I think?'

His mom replies, 'Ok, now tell me what you think?'

He says: 'Last night Fred came to my room for the Vaseline and I think...I gave him my airplane glue.

A Moment of Silence Please...

Lastnight Chris and I were watching TV, when a breaking news story came over the air.   It was reported that a Dallas Police Officer, part of the gang unit was gravely wounded after trying to serve an arrest warrant.  According to reports, he knocked on the door and was met with gunfire and was shot in the head.  He passed away a short time later at a local hospital.

Chris met this news with worry over who it might be.  He works at a Police Supply Company and knows most of the DPD that come into this particular establishment, and he told me he knows all of the gang unit.  

When we found out the identity of the officer, Sr. Cpl Norman Smith, I could tell Chris was upset.  This officer wasn't much older than Chris and would have celebrated 18 yrs on the force today.  His wife is a Lieutenant with the DPD  also, and actually works in the Chief's office.

Please read our local news report here, and say a prayer for the family.

Time in the Pet Shop

Saturday when I went to Arlington to pick Nicole up from my mom, I thought we could stop by a local outdoor mall and get some popcorn and Nicole wanted to go to the petstore that was next to the popcorn store.

We had fun. Nicole got to play with the baby bunny rabbits, while I went for the birds. Chris has absolutely put his foot down in a firm NO that I cannot own a Cockatoo or an African Gray Parrott. There was an adorable and very cuddly Cockatoo at the pet store that I got to play with.

Here he is on his perch, having a snack. Isn't he cute?

Here he is on my arm, trying to eat the pink shiny buttons on my shirt. He also buried his head in the crook of my arm and loved to be cuddled.


I know my little Judy can be a handful, and shes about the size of this cockatoos head. Shes medium sized , but she is LOUD!!!

Yesterday I went and got Nicole from my moms , so she is back home and all is well again, since I was starting to miss her something fierce.

I also went to visit my Uncle in the hospital. they won't let him go home till some of his electrolytes even back out. He's been in there a week and is getting bored and a bit agitated.

Sorry, I just had to post these...

I know I don't usually post twice in one day, but I absolutely had to put these pics up.

I had to give both dogs a bath today as they have been rather STANKY, so I did. The little one Cher, shivers like I'm leading her to the guillotine that has a dull blade. When shes done getting her bath and I have her wrapped up like a baby, she gives me the saddest look.

But after a bath she is so fluffy. I tried to get her to look at the camera but she refused.

Finally Friday

Good Morning to all of you out there is the blogosphere.
Hoping everyone had a safe and Happy New Years Eve/Day.
Chris and I went out to dinner with some friends Wednesday night, but then we were home by 8pm. Does that show our age?

I had fallen asleep by midnight , but was rudely awakened by the idiots on our street that decided to set off firecrackers. These in turn scared the crap out of my older dog and so she woke me up walking around the bed very agitated like and whining. Chris finally took her in the den where she couldn't hear them quite as well , as it is in the back part of the house.


Monday Chris had come home with a stomach virus that I'm happy to report I didn't catch. I sprayed so much lysol, everywhere he went in the house and banished him to the den that he was beginning to feel I didn't want him around - I didn' t mind him it was his germs I didn't want, lol.

Nicole is still at my moms until tomorrow. They are having a lot of fun and enjoying each other. Nicole does not want to go back to school Monday. I don't have to go back until Tuesday , when I'm scheduled to sub for a Kindergarten class, that has yet to have a sub. I'll be their first - I'm looking forward to it. The aide will be there and he knows me and that class of kiddos has seen me before so I'm thinking it won't be too bad.

I also went and got fitted for my new leg braces this past Tuesday. It will be three weeks until I get them. My old ones kept snapping the straps and stuff because I don't think they fit that well anymore.

I finally finished reading Twilight - now I'm definitely addicted and need to get the next 3 books.
Notice my new little addition to my sidebar? - Twilight addict? I have joined the insanity.
Right now I'm reading the third book in the latest trilogy by Nora Roberts. I still have two more to read that I got for Christmas. Not sure how much time I will have though , for the next few months or so. I have to finish crocheting one hat , I have one more to make , along with a dog sweater and a baby blanket.
