The Mother's Tea

I found out late this afternoon that I have to work tomorrow all day - so I thought I'd post the pics from the Mothers Tea that my mom and I went to this afternoon at Nicoles school.

First of all , we had a catered lunch.  The theme was Heart Awareness/ Taking care of yourself, so it was a very healthy lunch of turkey/veggie tortilla wraps, a spinach salad with garlic vinaigrette and fresh fruit.  The dessert was more fruit or banana/ walnut bread OR zucchini bread. Everything was fabulous.

We were entertained with a little skit that had us all laughing, then the school's music teacher sang a beautiful song called Blessed.

The door prizes were terrific, but of course, my mother and I won non of them:))

HOWEVER , when we went to leave, EVERYONE was given a coupon for a free week's membership to L.A. Fitness AND 24-Hr Fitness!  As well as a coupon for 3 free tans if you so chose to get that one.  Also they were handing out $5 coupons to Calloways nursery - because they had talked about the need to Relax, Rejuvenate and Respect ( yourself) so they had mentioned that fresh flowers help you relax sometimes or a plant or garden, so it did tie in.

Here are the pics:

This first one is of the ladies performing the skit - they did a terrific job.  ( Sorry about the lighting  - I was at a weird angle to take the pic)

Look at all the people there! We were told to either wear workout clothes OR something red , for our hearts.

The Kindergarten classes ( all 6 of them) sang songs to us in the beginning.  They were sooo cute!

This was the food ! Doesn't it look scrumdidiliumpcious?
Anyway, we had a really good time.  Hope everyones day went well.  I have to work all day tomorrow and Thursday, so won't be able to catch up on ya'lls blogs till probably Friday!

Ya'll come back now ya hear:))
